In breaking news <strong>IBNN</strong> sources close to the <strong>Twin Cities 2009 Juneteenth Celebration </strong>say the organization has been rejected from having its event at <strong>Boom Island</strong> this year as planned. After careful planning by the <strong>Twin Cities Juneteenth committee</strong>, the <strong>City of Minneapolis </strong>has rejected the events 2009 planned location.

On Monday, May 4, 2009 a meeting was held with the <strong>Minneapolis Park Police</strong>, <strong>3rd and 4th Minneapolis Police Precincts</strong> and members of the <strong>Minneapolis Park Board </strong>to inform Juneteenth organizers that this year’s event had been <strong>rejected</strong> from the inner city location of <strong>Boom Island</strong>.
