The Tea Party Movement rejects the Republican Party

Editors Note: IBNN has run this story at no charge. We feel stongly about the Tea Party Movement and support them 100%.

Watch out old, antiquated, red neck Republican Rhino’s. The Tea Party Movement is ready and positioned to cut the tent wide open.

Declaration of Tea Party Independence

I. As the course of human events winds its way through History, it has found some paths lead to Tyranny and some to Liberty. In seeking a path to Liberty, a great and powerful movement is now rising from every corner of our land. Created by the Will of the American People, it rejects unconstitutional domination by the Government that is supposed to be its servant. This movement has arisen, in large part, because our elected officials have failed us.

For much of its history the United States has been a land of prosperity and liberty, sound policies such as fiscal responsibility, constitutionally limited government and a belief in the free market have safeguarded this condition. In recent years however, Congress, the President, the Federal Reserve Board and the Courts have replaced those practices with profligate government spending and expansion of the government power beyond what is
Constitutionally permissible.

This course, if not reversed, can only lead to economic collapse and tyranny.

Therefore, Individuals acting through the Tea Party Movement, seek to restore the policies, which are proven to safeguard liberty and prosperity for all. We will organize, demonstrate and vote until this restoration has been achieved. We will stay focused on this goal and remain INDEPENDENT from any persons or political parties who seek to distract us from this end.

Many seek to define this Movement, to use it, to lead it, to co-opt it, to channel it, to control it, to defeat it.

WE WILL NOT LET THIS HAPPEN.

The Tea Party Movement is in agreement with our Founders that the government that governs least governs best. We believe that Capitalism – NOT GOVERNMENT – is essential to the creation of wealth and a vastly reduced government provides the foundation for a thriving Capitalist system.

The Tea Party Movement of America embraces and serves people of all races, creeds, religions, and political affiliations, and we declare ourselves to be independent of all those forces that seek to manipulate our actions or control our destiny.

II. We Declare ourselves INDEPENDENT of the Democrat Party and its power drunk junta in Washington DC, which is currently seeking to impose a Socialist agenda on our Republic.

We reject arrogant Left-wing politicians who furtively hide from public scrutiny, as they cut corrupt deals loaded with earmarks and pork in order to produce 2000 page pieces of legislation so purposely incomprehensible, they do not even bother to read them before foisting them upon us.

We reject the endless creation of myriad federal government agencies that drown free enterprise and local control in the swarms of education, energy, ecology, and commerce bureaucrats who style themselves “czars” sent to harass us. We reject the creation of federal government regulations and agencies which demand the States pay for unfunded Federal mandates.

We reject a Democrat Party which refuses to give credence to our demands for just redress of grievances and which insults and seeks to demonize our legal right to peacefully protest the unjust laws it inflicts upon us.

We reject a profligate Government that is spending TRILLIONS of dollars on worthless socialist schemes designed to bankrupt us and put the American people in a position of dependence on the State, as peasants begging for their very sustenance from self-styled “educated classes” and so-called “experts”. Part Two – The Solution? Minnesota Department of Transportation – Executive Order 11246

By Donald W.R. Allen, II – Editor in Chief IBNN and USA Radical Black

“Taxes are collected in a non discriminatory manner. MNDOT discriminates when they only award contracts to White companies.”

From slavery to the civil rights movement “White Privilege” has sought to hide information in an effort to control, obstruct and delay deployment of “processes” put in place by overseers to avoid catastrophic failures, present and future.

One of the “processes” put in place to assist Transportation agencies across the United States in administering their respective DBE programs is Executive Order 11246. Again, MnDOT sidesteps the language of the order. Read more

Why can’t Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District have representation?

representation-processMinnesota’s Fifth Congressional District is a geographically small urban and suburban congressional district in eastern Minnesota. It covers eastern Hennepin County, including the entire city of Minneapolis, along with parts of Anoka and Ramsey counties. It was created in 1883 and was named the “Bloody Fifth” on account of the first election.

In 2010, the “Bloody Fifth” will be in need of a congressperson that will stand-up, take names and kick butt!

Congressman Keith Ellison is no longer The Chosen One.

Congressman Keith Ellison is the current representative for Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District, and moving into the last year of his second term (2010), it’s rumored that Ellison will have the fight of his political career to gain reelection.

Ellison, whose office is on the first floor of the Minneapolis Urban League, has dodged questions about his support, or lack thereof, for Black candidates running in this year’s Minneapolis City Council race.

There are also questions concerning an earmark exceeding $100,000 dollars that went to the tiny Jordan New Life Hub in north Minneapolis, while the Minneapolis Urban League, which is the flagship social service agency on the north side is in desperate need of help – from anywhere.

Ellison has ignored Ward 5 Minneapolis City Council Candidate Kenya McKnight since their hush-hush trip to Washington, D.C. for the Congressional Black Caucus, where he nominated McKnight as an Emerging Leader.

My question then would be, “If you take Ms. McKnight to Washington, D.C. and nominate her for this prestigious distinction, why not come back to Minneapolis and have a press conference and let the people in Ward 5 know? Ellison should have promoted McKnight in north Minneapolis, rather than endorsing Ward 5 incumbent Don Samuels on the pages of the Insight News. If he supports Samuels, then he should have taken him to D.C.

Some 5th CD stakeholders and Black leaders have grown weary of Ellison, his staff and his decisions. This has become particularly evident in the social networking circles. The Facebook page, “In 2010, Keith Ellison must not Win” has already garnered support of 88 of the top political minds in Minnesota from “both parties.”

On Thursday, October 1, Barb Davis White, the African-American GOP-endorsed congressional candidate in 2008, threw her hat into the ring, announcing her intentions to “help take back the fifth.” Ms. White will be a force to be reckoned with in 2010. Having pulled in 22% of the vote in 2008, with planning and money behind her this go around, 2010 could be White’s year. A lot will rest on whether or not the Minnesota GOP’s actually engages in outreach to the area’s minority-ethnic communities this time.

The “Obama” thingie:

Will President Obama sign-off on Congressman Ellison in 2010? Washington insiders and Minnesota political strategists say “it’s a tough call” basing their statements on the fact that Ellison hardly mentions Obama’s name in public. Could this be a direct order from Nancy Pelosi or the White House and if so, why?

Also rumored to be running in the 2010 congressional race are Alan Fine and Minneapolis defense attorney Lynne Torgerson.

While the residents of Minneapolis try to address MnDOT’s catastrophic failure to contract business or trained people of color to work on Minnesota’s roads and highways, Congressman Ellison has opted for Town Hall meetings with point people from MnDOT and other community members that he feels comfortable with, in the name of “community outreach and information.”

As a United States Congressperson, Ellison has unilateral authority to create emergency legislation that would bring about real change in matter involving his district. Yet he insists on carrying out these largely useless meetings, which amount to “Ellison love fests” and DFL cronyism.

The group H.I.R.E. Minnesota, which lobbies for green jobs in the state of Minnesota, has already given up for 2009. As co-chair Louis King recently remarked of a mock funeral H.I.R.E. recently held — “While the tone of the day was somber, the outcome was hopeful. MnDOT Commissioner Tom Sorel initially refused to meet with HIRE Minnesota, but because of our persistent organizing he has now scheduled a meeting with us to discuss what changes will be made within the agency to improve hiring outcomes in 2010. While this year has been full of challenges in our quest to provide opportunities in the renewable energy and infrastructure fields, we remain hopeful that we will continue to secure outcomes that benefit underrepresented communities. That hope is rooted in the knowledge that thousands of people have joined our movement over the past year.

In 2010, citizens of the 5th should not look at political affiliations but rather ask, “Have our lives improved under the current political infrastructure? For how many election cycles will we ask the same questions and get the same answers? What has our current congressman really done for people that look like him?

In most cases the answers will be “no” – “each of them” – “nothing!”

In 2008, Congressman Ellison promised Latino constituents that he would look into immigration raids going on in their community. As usual a promise was made, but still Minneapolis’s Latino leaders complain that undocumented individuals are harassed, arrested and deported daily.

More notably is Congressman’s Ellison’s personal indiscretions documented in the Wright County Republican in stunning detail in a story titled, “Amy Alexander’s Indictment of Keith Ellison Revisited,” this story brings in to view suggestions of a man who is something other than a respectful representative.

In a 2006 article from PipeLineNews titled, “Keith Ellison, The Wahhabist Choice for Congress,” it talks about Ellison’s “balance. Is Ellison’s commitment to “balance” the root of his agreement with Nation of Islam bigot Joanne Jackson’s statement that Jews are, “the most racist white people” or his work with gang-leader Sharif Willis who murdered Minneapolis Police Officer Jerry Haaf?

Balance is really at the heart of the “Keith Mohammad X Ellison” candidacy, since the Minneapolis and national press have studiously avoided any semblance of it, refusing to tell people the honest truth about Mr. Ellison.

With all this said, when will Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District have the solid representation it needs, more importantly with the voters of the 5th see through the smoke screen and make the right choice in 2010?

The right choice is anyone other than our current representation.

Deleted without being read – Twin Cities Mainstream Media forgets about the minority ethnic community when it comes to News We Can All Use

Black crime, they’ll cover it all the time. A Black man with a business, they run with a quickness!…IBNN

White-Out in the Twin Cities

In 2008 I had the opportunity to attend the annual dinner of a local non-profit, at the downtown Minneapolis Hilton Hotel. The keynote speaker was an author, educator, and political pundit affiliated with the Democratic Party – and an all-round great speaker. At the time, Donna Brazile had not personally endorsed Hilary or Barack, and rumors spread that at this dinner, she might just make such announcement. This woman, Donna Brazile, an icon in her own right, had made news just by coming to Minneapolis, or so I thought… (I also thought that she’d make a great Republican!)

The only problem was this – only one Twin Cities mainstream media outlet showed up to cover the event.

Yet across the street from the downtown Hilton Hotel sat one of Minnesota’s hottest television media properties.

Curious, I decided to walk over to this fine establishment to find out why there was no coverage of the event featuring Donna Brazile.

Ring…Ring…Ring… A voice from the speaker said, “Can I help you with something?” I said, “Yes, my name is Don and I was attending an event across the street at the Hilton and it just so happens that Donna Brazile is the keynote speaker. Are you guys planning to cover it?” Read more

Hitchhiking for compliance on Minnesota’s roads and highways, who will facilitate a facilitation for the facilitators at MnDOT?

mndotThe Civil Rights Office of MnDOT (Minnesota Department of Transportation) is committed to ensure equal opportunity for all businesses and personnel on The Minnesota Department of Transportation and Public Facilities projects. To hold policies to ensure that no person be excluded from participation, or be denied benefits, based on race, religion, color, gender, age, marital status, ability, or national origin.”

The Law: 49 CFR Part 26.7 states:

a. You must never exclude any person from participation in, deny any person the benefits of, or otherwise discriminate against anyone in connection with the award and performance of any contract covered by this part on the basis of race, color, sex, or national origin.

b. In administering your DBE program, you must not, directly or through contractual or other arrangements, use criteria or methods of administration that have the effect of defeating or substantially impairing accomplishment of the objectives of the program with respect to individuals of a particular race, color, sex, or national origin.

What happened at MnDOT?

H.I. R.E. Minnesota (www.hiremn.org) based in north Minneapolis, one of the state’s largest advocate’s for jobs in the construction and green trades, has battled with the practices of MnDOT’s “lack of inclusion” on road and highway projects in the State of Minnesota.

Louis King co-chair of HIRE Minnesota says, “We’re not asking for any ‘handouts’ – just the opportunity to get trained participants jobs working on Minnesota roads and highways, hence, equal opportunity for all businesses and personnel on The Minnesota Department of Transportation and Public Facilities projects.

we The late Dr. Martin Luther King in his prophetic last speech (1968) said, “All we say to America is be true to what you said on paper.”

On paper as well as the MnDOT website, MnDOT’s inner office agency or the “minority conduit” to assure checks and balances as it pertains to minority-ethnic compliance the Civil Rights Department states the following:

1. To promote fair and equitable public service, advocating non-discriminatory treatment in providing transportation services.
2. To ensure transportation services are provided in a non-discriminatory manner.
3. To ensure equal opportunity in employment, participation, benefits, services, and contracts.
4. To eliminate discrimination.
5. To increase the number of businesses owned by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals in the highway and bridge construction industry.

These five points heinously say, “Okay, I don’t have to ride in back of the bus and someday MnDOT might have a level playing field.” Read more

We Boycott General Mills Incorporated (Brands/Products) and the General Mills Foundation (People)

“They give to the Susan G. Comen Walk for the Cure which in turn grants money to Planned Parenthood. I’d have nothing to do with a group that is helping inadvertently to kill so many black children.” …Anonymous

Part 2 in a 4-part series titled, “Riding the Minority-Ethnic Train all the way to the Bank” – with the assistance of local and national journalists, IBNN will bring to light major non-profit organizations, foundations and corporate giants that ride the minority-ethnic train all the way to the bank and provide no service to the community. In some cases these organizations do give dollars to the underserved communities of color –but just enough to help them fail. A perpetual circle of the haves and have-not.

We demand that General Mills recognize the existence of a strong minority-ethnic media in the Twin Cities and the world and start to use ethnic-media with the same spending levels or matched frequency comparable to mainstream media, advertising and message distribution.

In 2009, the Black community will no longer tolerate companies like General Mills, Inc and others who ride the coat-tails of African Americans (or other racial or ethnic minority groups) during the months of January and February in celebration of Martin Luther King’s Holiday and Black History Month. General Mills, who loves to ride the “communities of color gravy train”, has consistently and strategically disseminated information such as the following announcement during holidays such as MLK or Black History Month.

“The General Mills Foundation plans to award a total of $500,000 in grants to Twin Cities’ organizations that serve communities of color. Foundation president Chris Shear announced the plans at the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday breakfast Monday morning. The foundation will award a total of 50 grants of $10,000 each in two batches: 25 in the spring and 25 in the fall. The grant application deadline for the first round is April 1. The General Mills Foundation has been making grants for 50 years. In 2003, the Foundation awarded $77 million to communities across the country, an amount representing more than 5 percent of company pretax profits. (Source: Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal 2004).”

Giving local non-profits $10,000 a piece is just enough money to keep them begging for more, or fail.

We propose that General Mills, Inc consider building a production plant in north Minneapolis, not far from their corporate headquarters, which could manufacture the bags and boxes for their products. Building a plant would create the economic stimulus to generate the needed jobs/employment and spending levels to help the communities in north Minneapolis thrive and become self-sustaining.

In 2007, a request was made by local Black media through an agency called Your Black Wall Street (YBWS-The Agency) – a business directory with news and information designed to enhance education, wealth and independence for the Black, Asian, Hispanic-Latino and Somali communities in the Twin Cities. The request was simple: To have all minority-ethnic media represented at the annual General Mills MLK Breakfast (Martin Luther King Breakfast – click on link for more information) not to sell or disseminate information, but to allow those in attendance know that the minority-ethnic media was alive and well in Minneapolis/St. Paul. With the covert assistance from the United Negro College Fund (which should change its motto from, “Give to the United Negro College Fund. A mind is a terrible thing to waste” to “Money is a terrible thing to waste!”), all efforts to have minority-ethnic media represented were refused and YBWS-The Agency was blocked from renting space in the Minneapolis Convention Center by General Mills and the United Negro College Fund.

With a record profit forecast in 2009, we feel that General Mills Inc (and the General Mills Foundation) should support the minority-ethnic media by spending dollars in print, television and radio that are comparable to the dollars they spend to support mainstream media. A large percentage of the poor in the United States get W.I. C. vouchers to buy GMI products, but GMI turns its nose up at minority-ethnic media except for “trinket-negro” spending during MLK and Black History Month. A $10,000.00 dollar advertising schedule in a minority-ethnic media outlet to do outreach for a cause or program will go a lot further than awarding a non-profit dollars to show your annual “Black Alliance.”We ask you to join and support this Global boycott of General Mills products and brands from now until March 2009. Please invite your friends and their friends. See the link for GM products and brands not to purchase.

In closing, it doesn’t matter if your Black or White, Democrat or Republican – we have to start today taking back or basic rights to be heard and not taken for granted any longer by big companies that will someday want our tax dollars to bail them out!

The gravy train stops in 2009!

4 Reasons Why Congressman Keith Hakim Ellison Must Go!

Something is brewing in the United States of America. Since the Independent Business News Network did not author any of the following news and information, we’ll let you decide if Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District should be led by someone who for the most part if elected in November will “Twist your world”.

RNC asked about African American Congressional Candidates that are scheduled to speak at the RNC

O SAY..CAN YOU SEE?

The following email was sent to the RNC today…

It concerns me as Barb Davis White’s Press Secretary and also as a General Manager for a News & Information Corporate Media Outlet that you have not scheduled, nor will confirm that any African American Congressional Candidates have been asked to speak at the RNC, according to the young lady that answers the phone at your office and you. After speaking with you (Ms. Webb), the answer that the information is “confidential” does not work. We already know that Barb Davis White, 5th CD Minnesota and Antoine Members 1st CD Chicago have not been contacted…who does that leave?

On Friday, August 15, 2008 I was approached by a gentleman who told me to “cool down”, don’t go after Ron Carey’s office or the RNC and we will get together later and work things out after the RNC. He went on to threaten Barb’s campaign by saying, “If you don’t, Barb is finished!” The RNC has given money to some local “point people” in the Twin Cities to have party events neglecting the most valued and important thing to attract voter’s of color to the Republican Party…”community engagement and outreach”. No one from Minnesota’s non-profit agencies have been contacted by the GOP/RNC to teach the community about the Constitution of the United States or even to register voters. Remember…Liberty does not have a color, it has soul!

This “slave mentality thinking” i.e.; “Be good you Black Republican’s while our White friends are in town” does not fly with me or the tools I have in place to distribute this message “top-of-mind” to the general public and national news affiliates.

Keith Ellison is not worried and rest assured that the Minnesota GOP will put no effort into an African American Republican candidate for Congress in Minnesota with the current leadership of the GOP.

Again, and for the last time – I will ask, what African American Congressional Candidates have been scheduled to speak at the RNC? What do we really have to loose, besides Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District?

Good day!
